Cindy Sheehan For Congress

The Democratic Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, was the house sponsor of HR 3221 the so called "Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008."

This act was signed into law by Republican President George W. Bush on July 30th of this year. It is the authority under which U.S tax payers have been required to assume liability for the debts incurred by the investors who engineered the current mortgage crisis.

Hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens have been evicted from their homes by these "champions of the free market" who now demand to be protected from the consequences of their own greed.

This bail out clearly demonstrates yet again that there is no "gridlock" in Washington.

The professional politicians are capable of quickly addressing issues which are likely to have a favorable impact upon them.

It is the issues which would favorably impact the lives of the vast majority of the citizens of this nation which are ignored by them.

Cindy Sheehan is running for congress in California's 8th Congressional District. Cindy favors:
1. The repeal of All "Free Trade" Agreements
2. Single-Payer Healthcare
3. Affordable Housing
4. Immigrant Workers' Rights
5. Free and Quality Education
6. A National Energy System
7. A Mass Transit System

The staff of The Wilderness Voice is confident that Representative Cindy Sheehan will be a member of congress that the people of California can be proud of and who they can rely upon to serve their interests in Washington.
